Terms of service

What we do, what we do not do, and what each side is responsible for.

Draft. Names in [square brackets] are not yet filled in, and this has not been reviewed by a lawyer.

What AppointDown is

AppointDown is a directory and a booking desk. Shops list themselves here, and people book appointments with them. [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], operates it.

We are not the shop. We do not cut hair, and we take no position on whether the work was good. The contract for the service is between you and the shop. If something goes wrong with the appointment itself, the shop answers for it.

If you book an appointment

Give details that are accurate enough for the shop to reach you. A wrong number is the most common reason a booking goes wrong.

Turn up, or cancel. Each shop sets its own cancellation notice, shown when you book. Not turning up repeatedly may get you blocked by that shop, which is the shop's decision and not ours.

You may write a review of a shop you actually booked with. Reviews must be your own experience. We remove reviews that are not — including ones a shop writes about itself.

If you list a shop

You confirm the business is real, that you are entitled to act for it, and that what you publish — services, prices, opening hours, photos — is accurate. Photos must be yours or licensed to you.

Keep your diary honest. Availability shown here is taken from what you set, and a customer who arrives to find you closed lost their time because of that.

You are responsible for your own customers' details. We hold them on your behalf so you can run your diary; how you use them beyond that is yours to answer for, including any local law about marketing to them.

We may take a listing down, or refuse one, when it is not a real business, when the details are wrong and stay wrong, when reviews are being manipulated, or when a shop is the subject of credible complaints. We tell you why, and you can reply. A shop that fixes the problem can be listed again.

Paid plans

Free listings stay free. A paid plan adds the features described on the pricing page, and is prepaid for the period shown at checkout — there is no automatic renewal. When a period ends, the paid features switch off and the listing continues as a free one. Nothing is deleted: your bookings, customers and history stay, and paying again turns the features back on.

See Refunds and cancellations for what happens to money.

What we do not promise

We try to keep the site running and the availability accurate, and we cannot promise either is perfect. We are not liable for a booking that did not happen, a shop that closed, or work you were unhappy with. Where the law allows us to limit what we owe you, our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months.

Nothing here removes a right you have under Nepali consumer law that cannot be signed away.

Ending it

You can stop using AppointDown at any time, take your listing down from Settings, or ask us to delete your account. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we say why when we do.
